RTL Transport B-double truck/trailer side tipper

Description of Works

Over dimensional loads, heavy haulage, specialized transport and general transport. Over dimensional cartage between the mines in the Latrobe Valley with specialty work for Australian Paper.

Scope of Work

RTL Transport provides an essential service to the RTL operations, providing local over dimensional transport services - transporting earthmoving plant between the sites in a quick and responsive manner.

Through this business, RTL provides float movements, general transport and coal cartage services in the local area and Victoria.

In June 2006 Industrial Energy awarded RTL a coal cartage contract. Under this contract RTL have realised the need for specialised equipment and introduced four purpose built B-double truck/trailer combinations, which feature aluminum bodied side tipping trailers, each with a capacity of 43 tonnes.

RTL Transport's contract with Australian Paper requires heavy float movements up to 65 tonnes as well as general transport demands that can be responded to at any given time.

RTL Transport is upgrading equipment on a regular basis to ensure a professional and reliable service is maintained.
